One site I developed over the course of 14 years had 6 active templates. The site badly needed a new design and new code, but how could I update the templates and 300 pages of static web content without spending weeks of labor?
The answer came through experimentation with a two-step process in Dreamweaver.
You can resolve some of the problem by changing the FF settings for cache time & size.
After each time you make changes you have to reload pages to see the changes.
Lesson overview In this lesson, you’ll learn how to work faster, make updating easier, and be more productive.
You’ll learn how to do the following: • Create a Dreamweaver template • Insert editable regions • Produce child pages • Update templates and child pages This lesson will take about 1 hour to complete.

We’ve built hundreds of content-rich websites, and is routinely updated by non-technical people.
upon saving and testing in a browser (Firefox 4beta 11) there are no changes to the layout (just the php).
So I used web tools for FF and looked at the css, not one line was touched... I have created a page and tried to call it through facebox, well apparently webmatrix doesnt see any facebox, jquery or even the php page i added, it throws a 404 fit... Why does Dream Weaver CS5 see the changes in live view but FF doesnt? A good example of this: I place in bbpress default root folder and in the theme folder.
Yes using to edit pages Dreamweaver is tracking the code changes and will provide a realtime update.
For this question "I have created a page and tried to call it through facebox." "apparently webmatrix doesnt see any facebox" "jquery or even the php page" "Ii added, it throws a 404 fit" If you have the code your using post to the Forum or tutorial pages .
